First a couple of pointers
This is the basic step and is used to mark time. First, raise the arms level with the chest. Extend hands gracefully, holding fingers together. Be sure not to bend your elbows.
Moving arms slowly to right, take short step to right then bring left foot up beside right. This motion is done twice to the right and twice to the left. Keep in mind that your body will be moving to a beat, so it may be easier to count your steps. Maybe you could count by saying "right tap right tap, left tap left tap" to a rhythm. When you're moving to the right, you would step to the right side with the right foot, then tap the inside of your right foot with the inside of your left foot. Do this twice, and then repeat on the left side. Be sure to slightly bend your knees, and sway your hips in the direction that your first foot had moved in.
